Mount Etna in its winter coat offers fans of off- piste back country skiing, unique routes with the sea in the background, in its immense pine woods and extensive stretches of lunar landscape to the discovery of its unspoilt natural areas that will fascinate you for the diversity of its scenery. There’s the chance to do excursions lasting over a few days spent in mountain refuges with half-board lodging. By far the best way to discover these areas is on back country skis, although we can also offer transport by snowmobile and snow cat. It doesn’t finish here, as the Baroque city of Catania is only half an hour’s drive away, as well as wonderful Taormina. The Sicilian cuisine with its famous specialities will tickle your taste buds. If the weather is good, you’ll be able to have a swim in the sea. Accommodation will be on farms/ agriturismi and in mountain refuges.
