Since the 12th of September, Etna is in a mild Strombolian activity from one of its summit craters, the Voragine, inside the Central Crater.
Valle del Bove – Canalone della Montagnola
After leaving the cable car station(2500m), we’ll climb to the top of the Montagnola (2640m) where we’ll be able to enjoy the great view of the summit craters.
Grotta del Gelo
The excursion to “Grotta del Gelo” lasts about 7/9 hours; although it is not an excursion that requires technical skills, it is reserved for those who have a good physical condition and suitable equipment. It is recommended for those who want to spend a whole day into Etna’s big silences.
Summit Craters from Etna Nord
Trekking to the summit craters that will allow us to discover the wild north side of Etna. Departure will be from Piano Provenzana (1800mt) by 4×4 vehicle to Piano delle Concazza (2800mt).
